What kinds of services can I run on my Dedicated server?
While most Dedicated servers are used exclusively for Web hosting, you are free to run any types of services within the system's capacity. This may include streaming media servers, gaming servers, Voice over IP conference servers, and more.
If you choose to operate services that we do not provide, there may be situations in which third-party software support is needed. A couple examples on the server side would be ShoutCAST or Real Networks' "Helix" server. If you are having problems dealing with your Email client or web creation software, we will verify the server settings and test them to make sure they work.
We will do everything on the systems administration side we can to keep your site running as smoothly as possible. In situations where the third-party software vendor allows it, we can work directly with them to handle server side problems on your behalf.
